The Hamilton has experience of commissioning, artists for permanent public artworks and schemes and temporary work (including educational/community activities), we have handled the commissioning process from start to finish, including writing the brief through to organising launch events. We commission consultants for feasibility work, audits and evaluation and will work alongside appropriate specialists when required.
Commissioning
The Hamilton Project manage an exhibition in 10 lightboxes at Manchester Piccadilly which have rolling 3 monthly exhibitions. The lightboxes are programmed 12 months in advance, and we manage the commissioning of a exhibition, selecting the artwork, developing and managing partner relationships and the clients expectations, any associated press, the appropriate interpretation for the exhibition and the installation of the work.
